Knights

"Knights are the elite of Armor Games. Noble contributors and exemplary citizens of the kingdom, they often come to help those in need. Knighthood is gifted by Mods/Admins."

Knights (frequently called Knighthood) is a new status on Armor Games, one rank below a Moderator. Knights are highly favored Armor Games users who have been awarded a status that gives them new privileges, including new Armatars, Secret Forum(s) access, and more.

Description[]

The status "Knight" is a rank given to users who are highly favored on Armor Games and are respected by both Administrators and Moderators. While Knighthood is a menial status and has little to no power over the sites Administration, Knights are given higher privileges and abilities regular users do not have. Privileges being:

- Secret Forum Access:

Administrators, Moderators, and Knights have the ability to access a Secret Forum, exclusively accessible to those ranks. The topics discussed in this forum cannot entirely be publicly exposed, but contain subjects regarding maintenance, moderation, and future updates.

- Special Armatar Access:

Like Administrators and Moderators, Knights have their own special Armatars to choose from. The new Armatars available to Knights are themed around their rank. (For pictures of the new Armatars see the Gallery Section of this article)

- Purple Text & Knighthood Badge:

Knights, when making Forum posts, will have special colored text; similar to the ones Moderators (Blue highlighted text) and Administrators have (Green highlighted text). Knights, like Moderators and Administrators, will have a small badge under their armatar to display their status (for Knights it is a helmet).

Controversy[]

Knighthood, since the date of it's conception, remains a slightly disdained ranking - being referred to as "Elitism" and "Favoritism". Elitism was frowned upon in the previous incarnations of Armor Games and many argue that the status "Knighthood" has no meaning. Groups such as Forum Games Alliance are against the title, despite a few of it's users being Knights themselves. Another argument that has come forth is that Knighting users who are not well known and inactive degrades the value of the title.
